Deacon Udoh Ekwere Takes Over Leadership in a Colorful Investiture Ceremony, Pledges to Drive Humanitarian Projects and Community Empowerment Through Lions International, Eket Nobles Club

Deacon Udoh Ekwere, NLCF, has been installed as the 15th President of Lion International, Eket Nobles Lions Club, District 404A2, Nigeria.
The installation took place during a fundraising and investiture ceremony held at D’Angelo Hotel, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital on 28th September, 2025.
Giving his valedictory speech, the immediate past President, Lion Adeyemi Adebisi said “when I assumed office a year ago, I made a commitment to uphold the ideals of Lionism, to foster stronger bonds of fellowship among us, and to advance meaningful service to humanity”
Adebisi further said that his tenured witnessed “impactful humanitarian projects that touched lives within our community, to our fundraising efforts, health outreach, empowerment programs and partnerships with sister clubs, each initiative has left an indelible mark of service.”
He described the incoming President – Hon. Udoh Ekwere as a leader with the vision, passion and capable of lifting the club to even a greater height and accomplish much more.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Occasion, Hon. Uko Umoh described Dcn. Udoh as a perfect ambassador who will perform creditably well as the Arise President of Lions Club. He further said that Udoh Ekwere is a square peg in a square hole as his success in leadership and entrepreneurship is a proof to this.

In his acceptance speech, Deacon Udoh, as the 15th President of the Eket Nobles Lions Club, he said the common goal of his administration will focus on childhood cancer, vision, hunger relief, diabetes, mental health, environment and youth empowerment.
He further emphasized the need for collaboration among elders and members of the club in attaining this vision.
Among those who gave their goodwill message include Member Representing Etinan – Hon. Uduak Ekpo-Ufot, Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio led by their 11th International President, Akparawa James Edet among others.
The investiture also featured the presence of the District Governor, Lion (Pst) Ezekiel Umoh, the Region Chairperson – Lion (Pst) Destiny Bassey and the induction of new members, and the installation of club officers
