TEN THINGS GOVERNOR UMO ENO HAS DONE IN THREE YEARS
Road infrastructure development: Constructed and rehabilitated major roads across the state, including the Ikot Ubo–Odot Road (Nsit Ubium/Nsit Atai) and ongoing works on Ring Road III in Uyo to improve mobility and connectivity.
Agricultural expansion and food security: Distributed farm inputs and seedlings such as cocoa, oil palm, and cassava across LGAs including Ini, Ikono, Abak, and Oron, while supporting farmers at Ibom Model Farm and AKADEP, Uyo.
Education support and reform: Introduced model schools and increased bursary payments for students across the state, including beneficiaries at Akwa Ibom State University (Ikot Akpaden) and other tertiary institutions.
Healthcare improvement: Upgraded hospitals and expanded health insurance coverage through AKSHIA, with facilities improved in Ikot Ekpene, Eket, Awa, and Uyo General Hospitals.
Security strengthening: Enhanced security architecture with the establishment of community-based surveillance (Ibom Community Watch) and facilities like the Command and Control Centre in Uyo.
Youth and women empowerment: Implemented skills acquisition and grant programmes such as IBOM-LED and DASAC training, benefiting youths across all 31 Local Government Areas.
Housing development: Delivered residential estates including ARISE Estate in Mbierebe Akpawat (Ibesikpo Asutan) and staff quarters in Uyo Government Residential Areas.
Aviation growth: Strengthened Ibom Air operations and expanded infrastructure at Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, including terminal upgrades and new routes.
Fiscal reforms and transparency: Reduced state debt obligations, cleared commercial bank debts, and strengthened TSA implementation across MDAs in Uyo and statewide institutions.
Tourism and urban development: Developed tourism assets such as ARISE Palm Resort, Ibom Plaza, and Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort in Uyo, boosting hospitality and leisure activities.
