FCT College of Education commends MOC LLC over AI, Machine Learning infrastructure donation
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) College of Education, Zuba, Abuja, has commended MOC LLC for donating a Linux server to support teaching, research and innovation in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
The college conveyed its appreciation in a letter dated July 10, 2026, signed by the Provost, Dr Sule Mundi, after the server was presented to the institution during the recently concluded conference at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos.
Addressed to Dr Mfon Okpok, Instructor and Lead Consultant at MOC LLC, the letter described the donation as a significant boost to the institution’s digital infrastructure and research capacity.
“We are deeply grateful for this invaluable support, which will significantly enhance our teaching, learning and research capabilities. Your generosity and commitment to advancing education in Nigeria are highly appreciated,” the Provost said.
The college also reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both organisations and ensuring the donated facility is fully utilised to support academic excellence and research development.
MOC LLC said the Linux server is part of its wider initiative to strengthen capacity in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science and interdisciplinary research across higher institutions in Africa.
According to the organisation, the platform is designed to provide lecturers, researchers, graduate students and technical instructors with the mathematical, statistical and computational knowledge required to develop AI driven solutions to real world problems.
The server will host MOC LLC’s standalone Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence platform, giving the college access to research databases, virtual laboratories, interactive simulators and AI learning resources, including in environments with limited internet connectivity.
The institution also expressed its readiness to receive the MOC LLC team in November 2026 to expand collaboration in teaching, research, innovation and institutional capacity development.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr Okpok said the organisation is focused on building long term institutional capacity rather than simply deploying technology.
“Our goal is to empower lecturers, researchers and graduate students with a strong foundation in Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Machine Learning so they can develop innovative AI driven solutions to address real world challenges across Africa,” he said.
The partnership is expected to strengthen Artificial Intelligence education and research while expanding access to advanced digital learning infrastructure in Nigerian higher institutions.
