Ekem Emmanuel John Foundation Launches Academic Support Grant for Oruk Anam Students

‎The Ekem Emmanuel John Foundation has launched the Pastor Umo Eno Academic Excellence Educational Support Grant (AEESGI) for students of Oruk Anam Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
‎
‎The initiative, aligned with the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno, will support 133 beneficiaries for the 2025 academic year across the 13 wards of the LGA.
‎
‎Under the scheme, 69 undergraduates, 13 postgraduate students, 26 students in medicine, law, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health sciences, as well as 25 concessional nominees from elder statesmen, will benefit. Awards range from ₦50,000 to ₦100,000 depending on the category.
‎
‎To qualify, applicants must be indigenes of Oruk Anam LGA, enrolled in recognized tertiary institutions in Nigeria, and be in 200 level or above with a minimum CGPA of 3.5/5.0 or 2.75/4.0. They must also not be on academic probation.
‎
‎Applicants are required to submit an application letter and supporting documents, including admission letters, student ID cards, CGPA slips, certificate of origin, O’Level results, tuition receipts, and letters of attestation. Applications are to be sent via email to [email protected].
‎
‎The deadline for submission is September 30, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified on or before October 15, 2025, while the final list of beneficiaries will be published afterwards.
‎
‎Dr. Ekem Emmanuel John, Commissioner for Health and sponsor of the scheme, said the grant is designed to encourage academic excellence and support students of Oruk Anam origin in their educational pursuits.
