The endorsement took place on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Ndon Eyo in ONNA.

In her welcoming remarks, the Eket Senatorial District Coordinator for TTB, Rev. Mercy Cephas charged the crowd to remain faithful in their bid to support and deliver their choosen candidates.

Speaking at the occasion, State Chairperson of TTB, Lady Inyene Bassey described the event as a declaration of their collective commitment and determination to consolidate the gains of the Arise Agenda of the State and the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.

“The theme of this occasion, ‘Consolidating the Arise and Renewed Hope Agenda’ captures the vision that brings us together.
As Tinubu Torch Bearers, we are committed to mobilising our people, particularly at the grassroots, to understand the importance of continuity, responsible leadership and sustainable development”, she said.

“Our gathering today therefore represents a bridge between these two visions—Arise and Renewed Hope—and our responsibility is to ensure that the people understand the connection and support leaders who are committed to delivering meaningful development”, She added.

While charging the nominees on the need to live up to expectations, she described the gesture as a call to service.

“It is a call to remain accessible to the people, listen to their concerns, provide quality representation and make the welfare of our people the centre of your leadership”, she stressed.

Mrs. Bassey also called on supporters and stakeholders of TTB to remain united in taking the message of the day to every Ward, polling unit, community and household.

“Let us engage our people with facts, respect and sincerity. Let us encourage young people, women, professionals, community leaders and all eligible voters to participate actively in the democratic process”, she appealed while reaffirming the group’s commitment to supporting the ARISE and Renewed Hope Agenda.

In his remarks, Chairman on the occasion, Rt. Hon. Pat Ifon who moved a motion for the endorsement said they were convinced of their course of action.
