The electrifying energy of the African Knockout Championship (AKO), a mixed martial arts contest, recently filled the Abuja Velodrome, but the biggest win of the night wasn’t in the ring – it was behind the scenes.
The fight event, held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, was a masterclass of world-class production, and a significant portion of that success was powered by professionals from Akwa Ibom State.
From the lights and sound, to the massive screens and overall setup, everything looked like it belonged on an international stage. The most remarkable part? Much of that world-class production was the work of our brothers and sisters from Akwa Ibom State. They didn’t just participate; they were the driving force behind the event’s excellence.
