Governor’s Aide, Goodwealth, Empowers Rural Women with stipend
Goodwealth Bassey, the Personal Assistant to Governor Umo Eno on New Media, has embarked on a mission to empower rural women in Akwa Ibom State.
In a move that highlights the government’s focus on promoting gender equality and economic development, Goodwealth Bassey has committed to providing a bi-monthly stipend of N20,000 to support the economic and social well-being of women in rural areas of the state.
This initiative which is inline with the ARISE Agenda of the Pastor Umo Eno led administration is expected to alleviate the financial burdens of rural women, cushion the effect of the scourging economy, enable them to improve their livelihoods, and contribute to the growth of their communities.Â
Bassey’s commitment to the welfare of rural women aligns with the administration’s focus on gender equality and rural development.
The stipend will be disbursed on a regular basis to ensure consistency and sustainability.
This support will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the lives of rural women, enabling them to access basic necessities and invest in income-generating activities.
