Federal Jobs and Digital Skills Empowerment: Constituents Hail Patrick Umoh

Hon. Patrick Umoh, Member representing Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency, has been commended by constituents for securing 16 federal jobs and driving digital skills development in the constituency.

The commendation was made during the presentation of laptops to beneficiaries of the Patrick Umoh Digital Skills Training on Saturday at the Constituency office along Uyo road, Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area.

Speaking with newsmen on the sidelines, Francis Kenneth Ekanem from Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, appreciated the lawmaker for providing training and donating laptops and startup funds for business development to his constituents. Ekanem expressed gratitude for the life-changing opportunities provided by Hon. Umoh and emphasized the positive impact these initiatives have had on the Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency.

Another beneficiary, Favour Uko from Essien Udim, lauded Patrick Umoh’s dedication to the improvement of people’s lives through empowerment programs. She shared her excitement about the federal job opportunities and digital skills training.

In his address, Hon. Patrick Umoh stressed the importance of digital literacy and employment opportunities in the evolving economic landscape. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that his constituents are well-equipped with the necessary skills and resources to thrive in the digital age.

He said, “The world over is appreciating the digital economy, and to the glory of God, I have facilitated and attracted this program from the Border Development Commission to my constituency. It is not done everywhere in Nigeria; it is done in a few places, but our constituency is very lucky to have this opportunity brought to our people.”

Umoh also highlighted his ongoing efforts to secure more federal jobs and implement additional empowerment programs.

He stated, “That has not been my greatest achievement. What I consider a significant accomplishment is having secured government jobs for sixteen (16) people. To successfully advocate for sixteen individuals to obtain long-lasting government jobs, spanning up to 35 years, is truly something for which God deserves praise.”

The event witnessed the presentation of laptops to the beneficiaries, symbolizing their successful completion of the digital skills training program.
