PREMIUM FM TO HOST 4TH ANNIVERSARY LECTURE & PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY

Premium 89.9 FM is set to host her 4th Anniversary Lecture and Prize-Giving Ceremony with the theme: “Bridging the Digital Divide – Raising Rural Digital Entrepreneurs and Leaders.”
In a statement signed by the Managing Director of the station, Diamond Lady Maureen Umanah, frpa, the event will reflect Premium FM’s journey over the years and its commitment to spotlighting leadership that inspires progress and empowers communities.
The highlight of the anniversary will include the graduation of the pioneer beneficiaries of the Premium 89.9 FM Free Digital Entrepreneurship Training Programme, a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of Premium Digital Academy designed to equip young people with cutting-edge digital skills to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Signature by Royalty, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, at 11:00 a.m.
The celebration will be chaired by Sir Charles Udoh, Delivery Advisor to the Governor on Tourism Projects and Managing Director, Ibom Hotels. The anniversary lecture will be delivered by Prof. Nsikak Idiong, a distinguished scholar of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Uyo.
As part of the ceremony, Premium FM will recognize outstanding individuals and institutions for their exemplary leadership, innovation, and service in governance, business, and community development.

• Nigerian Police Force, Akwa Ibom State Command – Award of Excellence in Community Policing
• Ibom Air – Award of Excellence in Aviation Services
• Amitec Construction Company – Engineering Icon Award
• Obong Prince Ikim, Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency – Award of Excellence in Environmental Sanitation & Protection
• President, Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA (AKISAN) – International Leadership Award
Beyond celebrating excellence, the event will mark the official graduation of the first cohort of the Premium FM Digital Academy. This flagship CSR programme has provided aspiring entrepreneurs and broadcasters with practical training, mentorship, and resources to excel in the digital and media industries.
