The comedy scene in Akwa Cross is not for the faint-hearted. Comedian Laff Nation, popularly known for his Ufok Akam Live shows, has spilled the beans on a controversial encounter with a politician that had a surprisingly ‘humorous’ outcome and why he abandoned Akwa Cross for Lagos.
In a post on Facebook, Laff Nation recounted how he approached an unidentified House of Assembly member from Akwa Ibom State for a 1 million naira sponsorship for his 2021 Ufok Akam Live event. The politician, feigning lack of funds, offered a measly 50,000 naira.
He further said in a plot twist, the same politician gifted 200,000 naira to a female companion of the comedian, in exchange for a ‘sexual favor’. The female companion, in a show of solidarity, gave #50,000 of her ‘knacking money’ to Laff Nation maybe as commission.
In a bittersweet moment of reflection, Laff Nation quipped, “Shaaa Dey girl dash me 50k from her 200k knacking money 😂… talents In Akwa Cross Dey pass through a lot shaaaa na why Ufok Akam content tire me!”
