Residents of Ikono–Ini Federal Constituency are set to converge for a Yuletide Meeting and Get-Together scheduled for Monday, December 29, 2025. The event will commence at 9:00 a.m. at the Ikono Township Stadium, opposite the Ikono Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo, Ikono Local Government Area.
Organised by the Macaire Grassroot Movement, the gathering is designed as a mass civic engagement to celebrate and acknowledge what organisers describe as a productive season of people-centred representation and constituency-level development. The event is also intended to promote solidarity, inclusion and sustainable progress across the constituency.
Thousands of participants are expected, including youths, women, elders, community leaders, professionals, artisans and various grassroots groups. Organisers say the meeting will further strengthen democratic participation at the grassroots and have called on members of the public to attend and conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
